Among both photographers and filmmakers, there has been a lot of discussion lately about the apparently inevitable death of celluloid in the wake of the digital revolution. Certainly, there has been a plenty of nostalgia mixed with handwringing over such news items as the bankruptcy of the once seemingly eternal Kodak, not to mention word that some of the biggest producers of major motion pictures will soon completely stop manufacturing physical prints of films.
