Canon USA Inc recently unveiled the newest addition to its family of digital SLRs. Set to become available in December; the new Canon 6D is hyped as the smallest DSLR camera today for serious and professional photographers.
The EOS 6D is the mid-range camera between the 7D and 5D Mark III, which will be sold as standalone or bundled with an EF 24-10mm f/4L IS USM lens. This 20.2 –megapixel camera only weighs 770 grams but is packed with a DIGIC 5+ Image processor and an expanded ISO range of 50 to 102400.
For budget-conscious photographers, videographers, and cinematographers, the 6D can shoot continuous footage up to 29 minutes, which they can record to SD card instead of the CF card. It is featured with built-in wireless and GPS that even lets you remotely connect your smartphone and tablets to the camera. With its 100,000-cycle shutter and EOS Integrated Cleaning System that uses high vibration for dust removal, all professional photographers will surely fight to get their hands on this camera.
If you are an advanced amateur making your move to a full-frame DSLR, the new Canon 6D is the right camera for you as it is equipped with advanced features such as the manual option to give you full creative control, aside from the automatic settings designed to aid new photographers.
